Sympathique is the debut studio album by American musical group Pink Martini, released in November 1997 via Heinz Records.

Pink Martini is a musical group that was formed in 1994 by pianist Thomas Lauderdale in Portland, Oregon, USA. Describing itself as a "little orchestra," its music crosses genres such as classical, Latin, jazz and classic pop.

From the opening harp refrain and then China Forbe’s opening note on Amado Mio you are drawn into the world of Pink Martini. This is an impressive debut album, which incorporates an amazing variety of musical influences from around the world, with some songs sung in languages other than English, showcasing the skills of the Band’s lead vocalist. The album showcases a unique blend of contemporary pop embellished with luscious piano, percussion, brass, strings and of course superb vocal work.

The album has gone on to sell more than 900,000 copies worldwide and has taken the band around the world on tours to the Cannes Film Festival as well as Europe, Lebanon, Turkey, Japan and Taiwan, among other far-flung destinations.

The title track Sympathique was nominated for “Song of the Year” in France’s Victoires de la Musique Awards. The album is Platinum in France, and Gold in Canada, Switzerland, Greece and Turkey.
