Terms and Shipping Info:

Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying.

US bidders please read: Shipping in the US is $4.00 for Media Mail with USPS Tracking. The shipping cost includes the cost of packing materials. Each additional auction is .50 more.

International bidders please read: These are the current rates for First Class International (NOTE: In most cases, it costs the same to ship 2 single LPs, or 1 double LP as it does to ship 1 single LP):

Canada: 8 oz or less--$10.50    9 oz to 2 lbs--$16.50    Over 2 lbs--$26.00    Over 3 lbs--Contact me for rates.

Mexico: 8 oz or less--$12.75    9 oz to 2 lbs--$22.00    Over 2 lbs--$34.00    Over 3 lbs--Contact me for rates.

For all other countries: 8 oz or less--$14.50    9 oz to 2 lbs--$23.50    Over 2 lbs--$37.25    Over 3 lbs--Contact me for rates.

If you do not trust your country's postal system, I recommend adding Registered Mail. This will cost an additional $14.95. This is the actual USPS cost for this service. If you want to add Registered Mail, please contact me so that I can send a new invoice. eBay does not have this option on the invoice, so I must add this separately.

All bidders please read: I usually ship within 1 to 3 business days of receiving payment, depending on how soon you pay. US buyers that win more than 1 item can pay immediately. The cost should be automatically calculated. If there are any problems with your invoice, please email me. International buyers that buy more than 1 item need to wait for my invoice before paying. Payment must be made within 4 days of auction's end. If, for some reason, you will need more than 4 days to pay, please contact me.

Item Description:

IMPORTANT: In light of recent events, I need to point out a couple of things. First off, even though I'm just a regular guy selling my collection, and not a giant mega-store, I still believe in giving excellent customer service. I'm easy going, and I'm always willing to work with a buyer, if there is ever a problem with something purchased from me. All I ask from the buyer is that he/she deal with me in a rational manner, and I promise to resolve the problem. Secondly, since some people are either too stupid or too lazy to ask questions before bidding, and in the spirit of transparency, I should point out that I am a smoker. This is an issue for some people. If you are one of those people, you might want to reconsider before bidding on my auctions.

Ronus-Scalding Metal LP on Ron Snyder Records (in association with Ravenrealm Productions) (V001).

Although they are not sealed, each copy is new, and comes in a resealable mylar outer plastic sleeve. 2018 US independent/private/self-released by the band, in association with Ravenrealm Productions (my underground independent label). Ron Snyder is my best friend. I've known him since 1985. We've been in a couple of bands together over the years, as well as doing our own projects. This is his band's latest release, and it is the first one on vinyl (previous releases were issued on CD-Rs). He wanted me to play bass on this album, but my health issues prevent me from playing my instruments. So, Ron and drummer, Austin Carlson, played the bass. Ron also wanted my label associated with this release. Limited to 300 copies. Pressed on clear vinyl, although I have noticed some copies have black and/or white specks and/or smears blended in. This is only cosmetic. It happened during the pressing process, and does not affect play. Each copy comes with a lyric insert and a logo sticker. I am not making any money from this. I'm simply helping my friend spread his metal message. I'm asking the same price as if you bought it directly from the band.

My unbiased review:

This is a killer album. I'm not just saying this because Ron is my best friend. I'm saying it because it's true. With 11 tracks, plus a psychotic little ditty at the end, you definitely get your money's worth, here. The album starts out with the appropriately titled, "Metal" to set the stage for what is about to come. This track has a Motorhead-ish vibe going on. Ron sounds nothing like Lemmy, vocally speaking, but the riffs and pace of the song cause me to envision what it would sound like with Lemmy on vocals. I could definitely hear Motorhead doing this song. Next up, "Procurior Of Sin" chugs along like a freight train, and runs you over. It has a very Celtic Frost-like vibe. This is followed by----I hate to use the term "commercial"----let's just say "Firelight" is the most "radio friendly" sounding song on the LP, but it's still a heavy one. It has my favorite lead on the album. It's one of those leads that makes you break into "air guitar mode". It's not complex, but it's catchy. The whole song has a catchiness to it. You might even find yourself humming this song while you're doing something totally unrelated to music (like washing the dishes). Next up is the melodic instrumental, "As I Thought Of Your Death". It's a fairly simple melody, but the layered guitar effect makes it sound complex. This is a brief reprieve from the surrounding chaos, and is quickly followed by, "Mr. K" and "Under A Tyrant", both heavy tracks in their own right, to end Side 1. "Under A Tyrant" has a NWOBHM feel to it, ala early Iron Maiden. I could hear this song being sung by Paul Di'Anno, and it would fit on the "Killers" album. Side 2 starts out with "Thrash". This song will get a pit going. If the party is getting boring, take off the crappy dance music, and put this track on. There will be stage diving (or furniture diving, if the party is in your house). This is one of the fastest songs on the album, and obviously one of my favorites. "Pest" is the second track on Side 2. If I had to pick a least favorite song, this would be it. Don't get me wrong. I'm not saying it sucks. It's a great fistbanger. I'm just saying that if I had to pick a least favorite song on the album, this track would be the one. Drummer, Austin Carlson takes over the vocals on "Ice Princess", which Ron wrote back in the ancient times of 1977. Austin continues to belt out the vocals on the title track, "Scalding Metal", which is a great metal anthem. Next up is my favorite track on the album, hands down. "Thorns" is arguably the fastest song on the album. Ron and Austin both do vocals on this. I love this song because it's so bizarre. The riffs on the chorus sound like a UFO/flying saucer taking off. It all just trips me out. This is one I always play loud. I play the whole album loud, for that matter, but this one gets a little extra volume when I play it. This would be a great ending to the album. But wait! There's more! After a minute or so of silence (dead wax), the album ends with the aforementioned psychotic ditty, which is titled "...What It's Like When We Die...". You just need to hear this. I don't want to say too much about this track. It would ruin the surprise. Suffice it to say, it is the perfect way to end this metal masterpiece. If you like straight ahead no-frills metal, or if you like power/thrash/speed metal, or even hard rock, you need to buy this. If you collect rare, independent, private, self-released records, you need to buy this. You know how these private releases go. Some of them end up being worth a couple of hundred bucks, down the line. Who knows? This could end up being one of those albums. Take a chance and "buy it now", or if you are bidding on any of my regular auctions, click on the "Add To Cart" button. This will automatically add a copy to your cart, and it will be combined with any other items you win, so you can save on shipping.

This is a new item. Everything is NM. Each album comes in a resealable mylar outer sleeve. I only have a few copies, and I'm not sure when/if I will be able to get more. So, grab a copy while you can. The holidays are coming, and this would make an excellent present for your favorite metalhead. This is only available directly from the band, or from me. The pictures are of my copy.

IMPORTANT: After a discussion with the band, I have been given permission to lower the price for the holidays, so grab a copy at the discounted price while you can.
