Funk, Soul & Northern Record Collection
Low starting price for a great selection
A small selection of great Funk & Soul records from the 1970's mostly Imports with
the centre pushed out ( see my photos ). All the records have light surface marks and
would grade from Good to Very Good with the majority at the better grade ( see notes
next to two listings ). I use the " Record Collectors " grading system.
The Record Collectors definition for Very Good is
------- The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major
deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional
light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items without any major
defects is acceptable. -------
The sleeves are a mix of plain paper and carded in a reasonable condition, again look
at my photos.

* Some of the record labels may have a name or mark on them *
I have listened to only the 'A' sides on most of the records and also visually graded, some of the records have light
scuffs and marks resulting in a little background noise in parts. If you are looking for all top quality recordings please
do not bid.
LOOK MY PHOTOS FOR A VISUAL DESCRIPTION.
I listen to my records on an " ION Profile " vinyl record converter and my P.C. speakers so
not the best quality hi-fi equipment and grade as I hear it. Please look at all my photos for
a visual condition of the sleeves. Thanks. * Check out my Feedback *.

I use the "RECORD COLLECTORS" grading system as well as my own visual description if required.
Their are five standard condition categories and a description of what each one means are given below.
I hope you find this helpful.
MINT : The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as lyric sheet booklet or poster
are in perfect condition. Records advertised as sealed or unplayed should be mint.
EXCELLENT : The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or
creasing.
VERY GOOD : The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional
light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptable.
GOOD : The record has been played so much the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer
from folding, scuffing of edges, spine split, discoloration etc.
FAIR : The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be stained
torn and/or defaced.
