This Edmonton outfit formed in January 1979, playing a raw but melodic punk influenced by Buzzcocks and Undertones. Quickly developing a reputation as one of the city's finest underground live groups, they went into the studio to record four tracks, three of which would appear on an excellent 7" EP, 'Theresa's World', in 1980. As was so often the case with tremendous groups of the era, The Modern Minds soon went their separate ways, frontman Moe Berg going on to real commercial success with his next group, The Pursuit Of Happiness. This new Ugly Pop LP collects the original EP and eight more unreleased studio tracks, plus deluxe gatefold insert with photos and extensive new liner notes. CONDITION: NEW/Sealed distributor stock acquired directly from the label, but VG+/M - All copies in stock have one crushed and creased corner from shipping. It's not horrible, but it's a fairly large crush. We have discounted these from $15 retail down to $19.99 for this condition flaw.

***Please note, although this is an unplayed copy, sometimes covers get minor dings, corner bumps, etc in shipping or even in manufacturing. 98% of our distributed titles are acquired directly from the label, but again, sometimes minor flaws ar present even on new copies. Assume everything is NM/M, although most things are perfect mint when we receive them. ***

-All records are shipped with the vinyl outside of the cover, except for sealed items. All vinyl is removed from printed inner sleeves and placed in a generic white paper inner sleeve. We will only open and separate sealed items at your request, otherwise, we will tight tape the four center edge points to reduce shifting. All records are well packed in record mailers with extra reinforcement/padding. All cassettes and CDs are sent in heavy cardboard mailers or in padded envelopes with plenty of cardboard protection. We take great care in packing.
