From
my personal collection, this is an ULTRA-RARE early (orange label) pressing of the Canterbury classic on Deram Records,
UK, part of its "Nova Series." I purchased this used in about 1982, I think. The vinyl is PLAY
GRADED EX, with a just a little minor surface noise here and there in
the quiet bits. I played this in
its entirety recently for the first time in decades, and it sounded
fantastic. The cover is a really solid and great looking VG, with the biggest problem being scotch tape being used to repair failing glue (not a split) on the top seam. The glue is also starting to fail on the bottom seam, which I would recommend Elmer's Glue for repairs instead of tape, but I'll leave that up to the new owner. Beyond that, there is some minor
edge/spine/corner wear and creasing, plus some minimal ring wear
starting to show. Finally,
there are "LAST" stickers on each label of the record, signifying that
this was treated with the Last vinyl preservation system, an expensive
audiophile product from the 1980s. Did it help? After listening to it
now, I can at least say it certainly didn't hurt!!!
