From my personal collection, this is an ULTRA-RARE 1982 reissue of the original version on Recommended Records,
UK. I say original version because when the band turned the master tapes over to Virgin Records, they forced them to re-record it for the oddly substandard version that Virgin ultimately released as "Slapp Happy" in 1974. I say this is a re-issue because Recommended originally issued this original recording as "Acnalbasac Noom" in 1980. I purchased this new shortly after its release.
The vinyl is PLAY GRADED EX, with a just a little minor surface noise here and there in the quiet bits. I played this in
its entirety recently for the first time in decades, and it sounded fantastic. The cover is a really, really solid VG+, with some minor edge/spine/corner wear, especially some minor bending of the upper edge. This is one of those Recommended releases that has a silk-screened card stock wraparound instead of a conventional LP sleeve. Most would probably grade this higher. Finally, there are "LAST" stickers on each label of the record, signifying that this was treated with the Last vinyl preservation system, an expensive audiophile product from the 1980s. Did it help? After listening to it now, I can at least say it certainly didn't hurt!!!
