Following the release of their first two albums, in 1987 and 1988 respectively, the band toured rigorously and unrelentingly, before heading back into the studio in 1990. Amidst drug addiction and ongoing band turmoil Axl, Slash, and the rest of the crew began working on the what would become their masterpiece(s), Use Your Illusion I and II, released on the same day in September of 1991. Earlier in the year the band embarked on a tour that acted as a proving ground for those classic albums. Covering material from the first two albums as well as tracks from the Use Your Illusion albums, this live set from Brazil in January of 1991 is a ripping document of the band at their peak.
