Vinyl Grading System:

Mint (M) – Absolutely perfect in every way. Never been played and still sealed.

Near Mint (NM) – Opened but in brand new condition with no viable surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. Cover and contents are nearly perfect.

Excellent (EX) – Shows some signs of being played but no lessening in sound quality. Very Light marks where the record had been in and out of the inner sleeve a few times. Cover and contents might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Very Good Plus (VG+) – Better than very good. Obviously been played but very little lessening in sound quality despite the occasional light surface marks. Normal wear on the cover and contents, light edge scuffs or a few light marks.

Very Good (VG) – Obviously been played many times but no major deterioration in sound quality despite noticeable surface marks and occasional light scratch that do not affect ones listening experiences. Cover may have the start of a seam split, mild scuffs or other minor defects.

Good (G+)  – Can be played without skipping, but will have noticeable surface noise, light pops and clicks with lots of surface marks and light scratches on the vinyl. The cover will have mild seam splits, scuffing and other defects. Still listenable and usable especially with heavy vinyl as quite parts will only suffer.

Good (G) – The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion. Visible groove ware, lots of marks and scratches. The cover and contents suffer from heavy folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc. Only for the very rare vinyl!

Fair (F) – Still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise and deterioration in sound quality - it may even jump. Cover and contents will be torn, soiled, defaced and downright dirty! Unless it is ultra rare copy of the White Album, although it probably won't be white at this grading!
