Akarma, is an Italian Independent Italian rock reissue label, based in La Spezia, Liguria, Italy, founded in 1998, specializing in late-60s and ‘70s rock, prog-rock and blues psychedelia.

This is not a bootleg and can be found for sale on Discogs. Owned since new (replaced a missing original) and only played a handful of times max.

Pharmaceutically influenced: John Charles Alder, alas Twink played in Tomorrow (formerly the In-Crowd), Pretty things (played on SF Sorrow) and went onto join the Pink Fairies. Prior to the latter he found time to record his only “solo” album in July 1969, released on Polydor the following year - produced by Mick Farren. Besides being engaging in its own right, Think Pink is historically notable as perhaps the last hurrah of genuine old-school UK psychedelia. Twink was a prominent member of the unique musical scene that sprang from the Notting Hill hippie enclave of the late sixties, characterised by a strong communal music-making spirit that placed enthusiasm above virtuosity and evinced a propensity for playing free concerts at every possible opportunity. The music was inevitably pharmaceutically influenced.  The album features contributions from John Povey, Viv Prince and Vic Unitt, Paul Rudolph and Russell Hunter, as well as John “Junior” Wood from Tomorrow, John “Honk” Lodge from Junior’s Eyes and numerous other local acquaintances. Twink’s chief compositional collaborator was Tyrannosaurus Rex Steve Peregrine Took.

Sleeve:  shiny, laminated gatefold sleeve in excellent plus to NM- condition. All edges are sharp, straight and true including proud and fully readable spine, no edge or corner rub. Lovely condition please see photos, graded EX+

Labels: Classic Akarma colourful label; side one has track listing while side 2 has an illustrated label, EX+ going on NM- (see photos)

I have tried to be honest and transparent in my description - the photographs form part of the description. Questions are welcome, don't hesitate to ask. I have good feedback (and positive comments) as both a buyer and seller, so you can buy with confidence. I am a collector for 45+ years the few records I sell are either the results of upgrades, duplicates or a bit of thinning every now and again. If anything is not as expected, please contact me straight away, and I will do everything to resolve any problems without argument.

I strictly adhere to the Record Collector Magazine's Grading Guide using one + or - for addition guidance:

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and / or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits,
