WOW!! For sale is an INCREDIBLY RARE, factory sealed 1st (and ONLY) pressing from 1973 of Collie Ryan’s Takin’ Your Turn ‘Round The Corner of Day. This is one of a trilogy of records and I am selling all three (more below). Only 500 copies were pressed and this copy is still tightly sealed and absolutely unblemished. No creases or bends...disc is assumed mint as well. You would be very hard pressed to find ANY copies of this album, let alone one as perfect as this one. As new and nice as it was in 1973.

This is part of a trilogy of her albums that she released in 1973 and I am selling all 3 in identical, sealed MINT condition. If you wish to buy all 3, I will accept a bundle package deal of $300 for all of them along with combined shipping.

Bio from last.fm:

Collie Ryan is a student of Theosophy who privately pressed three records in 1973. This project was funded by her friends at New Age Farms carrot and fresh juice company in Lompoc, California, and the records were distributed at shows at the Sun and Earth Health Food Store and Restaurant in Santa Barbara. The songs are primarily about the theosophist concepts of karma and reincarnation; they are lovely and subtle enough that most listeners rarely detect any sort of underlying meaning without having it pointed out first.

Colllie Ryan's music is deceptively simple – using nothing more than her high, birdlike voice and excellent acoustic guitar and occasional reverb & natural sound effects, she creates a tremendous, mystical atmosphere evoking the gypsy lifestyle.

One of her songs from Indian Harvest, 'Cricket,' was featured on the excellent Wayfaring Strangers: Ladies From The Canyon female folk compilation from the Numero Group.

This copy was from the collection of Bob Senn - a renowned Santa Barbara, California DJ and program director for KTMS FM “The Rock on the Coast”. When Mr. Senn passed, his collection was acquired by my friend. There were thousands of records in the collection, almost all promotional copies in mint condition. I will be listing many more to come in the near future so please follow me for your chance to get the incredible rarities to come.

Grading System:

SS (Still Sealed)

Unopened records, still in original shrink wrap. In original manufactured condition unless otherwise noted (i.e. evidence of mildew or bent corners, etc.)

M (Mint)

The record and sleeve are in perfect, original condition. The record may have been played but will have no evidence of deterioration. (I will only use this grade on SEALED records that appear to be Mint as I believe any non-new, opened record cannot be truly called MINT.

NM (Near Mint)

A nearly perfect record. Any visible defects are of the type that "disappear" when the record is tilted under a strong light and they should not affect play. Sleeves in near mint condition will have no obvious signs of wear. Practically imperceptible ring wear may be allowed but no creases, seam-splits, or other easily detected flaws will be present.

EX (Excellent)

A very clean record. Near mint except for slight, superficial signs of wear. Sleeves in this condition may have marginal defects, but will not have significant creases or splits.

VG+ (Very Good Plus)

A well-cared-for record that is noticeably less than perfect, but defects are not visually or audibly distracting. Record surfaces may have slight scuffs or light scratches, but are still primarily clean. Sleeves may have some creases or minor ring wear, but should not be split.

VG (Very Good)

A used, reasonable copy to play. Many of the defects found in a VG+ copy will be more pronounced in VG condition. Surface noise may be evident and sleeves may look worn, but the record is still a decent copy.

G (Good)

A well-worn record that is still playable. Good does not necessarily mean "bad" but a record in this condition will have audible distractions and may have visible groove wear. Sleeves may have all manner of defects, but are still intact.

FA (Fair) and P (Poor)

These grades are for beat-up records. I will only sell records in these grades if they are extremely rare and sought-after.
