Ten assorted TOPS "4 Hits on Each Record" extended play 78 records from the 1950s, all with rare original sleeves. These were cheap but great re-recorded covers of many of the hits of the day, from pop vocal to rock and roll, country to mambo. Some great versions, for sure. Here is a list of the tunes and the artists:
Blueberry Hill - Scatman Crothers
It Isn't Right - Johnny James & the Toppers
Rock-a-Beatin' Boogie & It's Almost Tomorrow - Johnny Curtis & the Toppers
Green Door - Ken Williams & the Toppers
Love Me Tender - Dave Burgess & the Toppers
Tonight You Belong to Me - Bonnie and Betsy
The Fool - Scatman Crothers
When the White Lilacs Bloom Again - Paul Nero (violin)
The Bus Stop Song - the Toppers
Crazy Otto - Nat Charles (piano novelty)
How Important Can it Be - Mimi Martel (with the Four Rhythmaires)
Rock Love - same as above
Pledging my Love - same as above
Let Me Go, Lover - Gayle Lark
Dim, Dim the Lights - Brian King
Hearts of Stone & Make Yourself Comfortable - Gayle Lark
I Need Your Lovin' - the Four Rhythmaires
Teach Me Tonight, Mambo Italiano, Whither Thou Goest - Mimi Martel
Dance with Me, Henry, MalagueƱa, and It May Sound Silly - Sherri Lynn
The Ballad of Davy Crockett - the Rhythmaires
Mr. Sandman - the Rhythmaires with Mimi Martel
Haji Baba - Ronnie Deauville
The Naughty Lady or Shady Lane & It's a Woman's World - the Rhythmaires
Lisbon Antigua, Rock and Roll Waltz & Who Are We - Sue Richards & the Toppers
Theme from the Three Penny Opera - Lee Raymond & Orch.
Sixteen Tons - Jim Price
I Hear You Knockin' - Gayle Winters
Open Up Your Heart (and Let the Sun Shine In) (this is the song Pebbles and Bam-Bam sang on the Flintstones some years later) - Isa Ashdown & Chorus
Melody of Love - the Rhythmaires
No More & That's All I Want from You - Mimi Martel
All the records are in VG to NM condition. The worst just have some scuffs and small marks, but none are bad. They all play clearly and nicely. Some perfectly.
By the way, I know the first photo shows 11 records, but one was a double, I just discovered. And that double isn't in great condition. I can include it if you want it.
