Official reissue of ultra-rare 1970 wasted underground hard rock monster! Wild, loud, raw New Jersey hard psych beast that’s been a favorite target of record collectors, dealers and swamp dwellers for the past two decades, originally released on the Zonk! label .This album is bleeding with that authentic dirty basement sound built around a solid set of catchy heavy weight tracks influenced by the holy trinity of Cream, Blue Cheer and Hendrix! The bible of underground psych rock, Acid Archives, says this about it: “This legendary private press is rated as one of the ultimate local basement hard rock blowouts by many connoisseurs. Released as early as 1970, the end result has some similarities to MC5′s hallowed Kick out the Jams, but I find this a superior and more powerful album." Popular UK magazine that’s majors in all things 60s and psychedelic, Shindig!, proclaims: “a masterpiece of zonked out, fuzz-drenched hard rock." The limited edition vinyl pressing comes with an insert with liner notes, press clippings, photos and lyrics + an 11" x 17" poster too.
"This legendary private press is rated as one of the ultimate local basement hard-rock blowouts by many connoisseurs. The three-piece is served well by an intense, compressed live-in-the-studio recording as they careen through a set of raw originals with a near-punk attack. The early hardrock includes elements of urban soul and funk inspiration a la Grand Funk Railroad (in fact, a concert ticket showing the Fyre opening for Grand Funk is reproduced inside a CD reissue of Grand Funk's 'Red Album'), which becomes an advantage in the context. The band's psychedelic experiences and intentions are preserved in their name (look it up), while the actual music probably doesn't sound very 'psych'-like to the average listener. Released as early as 1970, the end result has some similarities to MCF5's hallowed Kick Out The Jams, but I find this a superior and more powerful album. The band leader Greg 'Ohm' Onushko died in the 1980s. Unlikely as it may seem, the other two guys had been involved in second-tier 1960's bubblegum band Marshmallow Way." - Patrick Lundborg/Acid Archives
