I make every attempt to appraise the physical and audible condition of the LPs as honestly and accurately as possible.  If you purchase an LP from me and believe the condition (audible or otherwise) to be substantially different than expected based on my description/notes, please message me so we may discuss it and come to an amenable solution.

I no longer have my record cleaning machine, so a thorough cleaning is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

FORMAT:  33 1/3 RPM 12" Vinyl LP.

RECORD LABEL & CATALOG NUMBER:  Island Records, Polydor (Young Person's Guide...).

RECORDING/RELEASE YEARS:  1969-1975.

RECORDING TYPE:  Analog, Stereo.

SPECIFIC NOTES:   All are UK pressings except ISLANDS, which was pressed in "Western Germany." 

CONDITION (***Using the Goldmine Grading Standard - slightly tweaked - see below ***)

VINYL SOUND QUALITY:  VG.
VINYL APPEARANCE:  VG(+).
COVERS:  VG(+).

Condition Notes:  VINYL:  Visual - Most show their age & wear from handling/use but are not beat up (maybe the 1st edition pink label "Court" is a bit).  Audible - Most have signs of audible background noise and a few ticks/pops. No repeats/skips.  Most are still VERY listenable.  The best sounding of the lot are probably USA and Young Person's Guide.  INNER SLEEVES:  Some still have their original inner sleeves.  COVERS:   The majority are VG+,  but the covers for the pink label COURT and ISLANDS have substantial wear, as pictured.

Goldmine Record Grading Standard:

Near Mint (NM or M-): Near perfect record and cover. No visible flaws or defects (any manufacturing scuffs should be noted). No unexpected surface noise or other audible issues at normal listening volume.

Excellent (EX):  Slightly better than VG++ and slightly worse that NM/M-.

Very Good Plus Plus (VG++): Only a very small number of minor flaws present (ex. a couple of faint hairlines, a light scuff). No unexpected surface noise or other audible issues at normal listening volume. Cover shows no significant ring wear, nor seam splits.

Very Good Plus (VG+): More slight signs of wear but still an excellent condition record that plays well. Any surface noise is very minimal and the record is still an enjoyable listen. No groove wear. Cover may show minor defects including very light ring wear.

Very Good (VG): More obvious wear. Surface noise evident on playing, especially in soft passages, and during a song's intro and fade but never overpowers the music. Ring wear and other defects evident.

Good (G): Worn. Significant surface noise throughout, scratches that produce noise, but will play through without skipping.

Poor (P), or Fair (F): Worn out. Won't play through without skipping or repeating.
