The Times Square Records label was started by the owner of the Times Square Record Store which was located....wait for it.....in Times Square, New York City. The label reissued previously unreleased recordings from the Doo Wop era as well as reissues. With a number of exceptions it numbered its records starting with number 1 in 1962.
