Distortion issues from groove wear - Recording of LP added to this listing below.
New York address labels, with ‘Van Gelder’ stamp, and Plastylite ‘P’ (also known as the ‘Ear’) in the runout groove.
Vinyl shows lots of light marks and scuffing (hairline across whole of side 1 which is not feelable) and visible groove wear, plays with some crackle and pops in places. There is distortion in places due to quiet heavy groove wear - Track 2 side 1 ‘ Totem Pole’ seems to suffer the most, this is more evident as the track progresses - please listen to the recording of the whole album added to this listing below.
Cover has ‘Chappell Group Control’ stamp attached to rear of sleeve. White of the front cover image has yellowed.
Seams have shelf wear, along with 5cm split to top opening edge, 2cm split bottom seam and top seam next to the spine. Text on spine is still readable, although a part is missing from ‘The Sidewinder’ text.
No original inner sleeve
Good original starter copy of this iconic record.
