Given condition expect varying degrees of crackles and pops, though if you are familiar with a quality Jamaican pressing you’ll know that an early Studio One LP graded “Good” can contain plenty of enjoyable tracks. The strength and warmth of these original pressings can often overshadow or reduce the strain of any noise, the determining factor typically coming down to the strength and the volume of the tracks; those slower soulful ballads with less kick in their rhythm tracks usually suffer the most while heavier ska instrumentals will often force their way through. Some of these are worth owning for a single track or two – the Studio One comp with the early Bob Marley & The Wailers take of One Love for example..
These records have not been fully playtested.  Expect a few skips and jumps; though I haven’t noted any I haven’t played them in full. An unedited sound clip taken from these LPs is offered below from a number of tracks (a few random selections, mostly my personal picks).
