The vinyl is VG+, the plain inner paper sleeve does have a tear and is not in great condition but the gatefold jacket is VG+ with some small signs of shelf-wear.

The liner notes state the album may be used to test audio equipment, due to the stereo placement of sounds independently in either the left or right channel (something extremely innovative in 1960). Also intriguing is the album cover artwork, by German contemporary artist Josef Albers, that is minimalistic in style. This album is the second volume in the Percussion releases.

This album has timeless hits, including “The Lady Is A Tramp”, “Hernando’s Hideaway”, “Temptation”, “Mack The Knife” and 8 others.

The Percussion series started in 1959 with Persuasive Percussion and is historically significant being the first to use a gatefold jacket, here used to list information about each selection.
