78 rpm- Billie Holiday. a nice selection of Billie Holiday records on various labels, from various periods in her career. Billie was the premiere song stylist of the jazz/ swing era in the 1930s-40s-50s. She recorded under her own name and with bands as varied as Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Paul Whiteman, Count Basie, Teddy Wilson, etc. She set the style for jazz singing- an influence still felt today, and was influenced herself by the great Louis Armstrong
