BEING OFFERED FOR COLLECTOR VALUE INCLUDING AN UNSPLIT ORIGINAL OLIVE GREEN INNER SLEEVE.
Based on research with discogs, the matrix numbers and characterizations of such best match what discogs describes as a "Decca Contract Pressing".  Here are those numbers and characterizations:
Matrix / Runout (Side 1): T1-2442-T4G Matrix / Runout (Side 2): T2-2442 P7-G
"Side 1 Matrix Numbers T1-2442-T4G with a small 1 above this matrix number. Side 2 T2-2442 P7-G with a small 1 above this matrix number. These small "1's" are over the 4's in 2442. Also, on side 2, the matrix runout 2442 has the final "2" etched over a previous "5."  "
These characterizations are also true, found in another discogs listing, some of which are not found or are different than the Decca Contract Pressing:
First press of black rainbow label, without "subsidiary" rim text and without "The Beatles" under the Capitol logo.
Title "RUBBER SOUL" is wider than the logo, and underneath it the members names are written as: JOHN LENNON, PAUL McCARTNEY, GEORGE HARRISON and RINGO STARR
On the back of the jacket there is a "3" directly under "Freeman". Indicating cover manufactured by Modern Album of Long Island, NY.
The jacket lists the album as "T 2442" and the label lists it as "T-2442".
First pressings came with olive Capitol inner sleeve
THE LP IS REMOVED FROM THE ORIGINAL OLIVE SLEEVE AND KEPT SEPARATE IN A PLAIN WHITE SLEEVE TO RETAIN THE CONDITION OF THE OLIVE SLEEVE.
Both the jacket and LP in FAIR CONDITION.  The jacket has light to moderate edge and corner wear, with small splits top of spine and bottom edge at opening.  There are no markings but the previous owner affixed a plastic name label on back jacket.  Light ring front and back jacket.  LP with a sheen of light unfeelable scratches on both sides, but also with heavier scratches, one or two feelable.
