This is it Metallica fans, potentially a once in a lifetime opportunity to own one of the rarest releases ever published by Metallica. This auction is for Metallica's 45 Series release with Warner Bros. Records for their Iconic album Death Magnetic pressed on 5 White Vinyls and housed in a beautiful box with cardboard picture sleeves for each vinyl, two lithographs and a CD. This pressing is so limited, there were only 50 Copies made and released, 25 copies were only sold to Met Club Members while the other 25 copies were only sold through BecauseSoundMatters.com website. These are 200 gram audiophile Quality vinyls pressed at half speed (45RPM) and mastered at Mobile Fidelity. Each record comes with an individual picture sleeve, an art lithograph is also included as well as a lyric sheet and CD copy of the album. Recorded in April 2007 - May 2008 at Sound City Studios in Vany Nyus, CA, Shangri La Studios in Malibu, CA & HQ in San Rafael, CA. Mixed at Sunset Sound Factory, Los Angeles, CA. & Punker Pad West, Van Nyus, CA. Mastered at Sterling Sound, New York.
To make this set even more special, the outer cover of the box is hand signed by James, Lars, Kirk and Robert in silver sharpie! So not only is this one of the rarest Metallica releases of all time, it is also signed by the current lineup! You cant get much more rare than this and this is a MUST have for any hardcore Metallica Fan.
The outer box set is in VG+ condition, has some very minor edgewear only. The 5 White Vinyl's are in NM condition, super shiny and play flawlessly. The Inner sleeves for each vinyl are also in VG to NM condition. Sleeve 1, 4 & 5 are in NM condition while sleeve 2 & 3 have a 1" split in the middle top of the sleeve. The Lithograph and the Lyric sheet are also in NM condition, no bends, creases, tears or rips. The CD is in New condition, looks unplayed.
