RODGERS & HAMMERSTEIN'S FLOWER DRUM SONG Broadway & London Original Cast LPs + Solo LP's from two of the stars in the Broadway production (see photos for complete playlists) :
1) FLOWER DRUM SONG (1958) (Columbia - OS-2009)  Original Broadway Cast Album of Musical Production. Music: Richard Rodgers. Lyrics: Oscar Hammerstein II. Book: Oscar Hammerstein II and Joseph Fields. Based on Novel: C.Y. Lee. Direction: Gene Kelly. Cast: Miyoshi Umeki, Larry Blyden, Juanita Hall, Ed Kenney, Keye Luke, Arabella Hong, Pat Suzuki. Cheoreography: Carol Haney. Costumes: Irene Sharaff. Musical Director: Salvatore Dell’Isola. Flower Drum Song opened at the Shubert Theatre on October 27, 1958 and in New York at the St. James theatre on December 1, 1958. CONDITION: Vinyl : Side 1= Very Good - (first 2 tracks have visible scratch)  Side 2 = Very Good ++. Cover: Very Good -. Top seam has 5" split. Back cover has name written in black marker. 

2) FLOWER DRUM SONG (1960) (Angel - S.35886) Original London Cast Album of Rodgers and Hammerstein Musical production. Conductor: Robert Lowe. Cast: Kevin Scott, Ida Shepley, Yau Shang Tung, George Pastell, Yama Saki. The London production made its debut at the Palace Theatre on March 24, 1960. CONDITION: Vinyl & Cover = Very Good +. Both top & bottom seam have a 2" split. 

3) PAT SUZUKI: Broadway '59 (1959) (RCA Victor - LSP-1965)  Pat Suzuki's Braodway role as Linda Low & her version of "I Enjoy Being A Girl" made her a star in the production of Flower Drum Song and led to this solo LP. CONDITION: Vinyl = Very Good ++. Cover = Very Good +. 

4) MIYOSHI UMEKI: MIyoshi (1960) (Mercury - SR-60228)   Miyoshi's 2nd LP after her success in the starring role of  Mei Li in the Broadway version of Flower Drum Song. CONDITION: Vinyl & Cover = Excellent.

LP's come boxed carefully in corrugated boxes made specifically for LP's, with filler pads and bubble wrap on both sides to protect the cover. LP's are housed in clear plastic LP sleeves. The LP is removed from the cover for shipping to prevent seam splitting unless when purchasing a sealed LP or when specified otherwise. Tracking numbers will be provided on all purchases.
