Asheville, NC indie rock band Wednesday & their label, Orindal Records, are auctioning rare opaque red marble vinyl copies of Wednesday’s 2021 album Twin Plagues to raise funds for Asheville’s new community of Afghan refugees.


40+ Afghan refugees will be arriving in Wednesday’s hometown of Asheville, NC over the coming weeks, many of whom were forced to leave their homes in Afghanistan under extreme duress​. The money raised by this auction will be used in collaboration with Catholic Charities Asheville to cover costs like rent, transportation, food, clothing and supplies, medical care & English education. This is one of five red vinyl copies of Twin Plagues in existence. They were the first copies of the album pressed by Smashed Plastic Record Pressing of Chicago, IL as “transitional records” between another album’s pressing & the full retail pressing of Twin Plagues. These records are unplayed & sold as-is.


This auction is for one record packaged in an official jacket & poly bag with a lyric poster insert, 4x6 photo postcard & download card, plus a Twin Plagues 11x17 bi-folded poster.


This is the second of two eBay auctions for red vinyl copies of Twin Plagues. The remaining three red vinyl copies of Twin Plagues will be raffled off to donors of the “Asheville Welcomes Afghans” Gofundme.
