Sealed copy of the 180 gram blue colored vinyl reissue of the soundtrack to the film Blue Velvet. Released in 1986, this David Lynch-directed surreal small town mystery amazed and outraged both critics and audiences and earned Lynch a Best Director Oscar nomination. The background score is composed by Angelo Badalamenti along with various pop songs sung by Roy Orbison, Ketty Lester, Isabella Rossellini (in character as the highly eccentric, zonked-out Dorothy Vallens), Bill Doggett, and Julee Cruise. The front of the shrinkwrap includes a hype sticker declaring this a Newbury Comics Exclusive limited to 1,000 copies. The vinyl should be in perfect shape, but I will rate the whole package as NM (near mint). The status of Blue Velvet as a cult classic has grown in leaps and bounds through the years, and the soundtrack is just as eccentric and entertaining.
