WELCOME TO K.O. RECORDS

I’ve been buying and selling records for 20 years, and take pride in grading accuracy.  Grading is based on Goldmine standards, and vinyl is inspected under bright light.  I don’t use EX as a grade – VG++ is used as a bridge between VG+ and NM-.

Vinyl is graded as follows:

 M-.  like new

NM- like new but exhibiting a very few of the lightest superficial marks

VG++  played and handled very carefully, showing only very minor superficial wear and high gloss.

VG+  better than average, exhibiting more superficial marks, nothing feelable or obviously affecting play. May exhibit slight loss of luster.

VG  an average record, showing more obvious wear.  Still an enjoyable listen and no more than a few lightly feelable marks

VG- a slightly less than average record displaying a greater number of superficial marks as well as perhaps some lightly feelable marks.  Usually display some loss of luster

G+ - playable but well used

G – barely playable with heavy surface noise

Jacket Grading:

M- Like New

NM- like new but perhaps a crease or some edge wear

VG++ very well preserved with very minor edge and corner wear.  Foxing and ringwear will be barely noticeable.  No writing or stains.

VG+  well preserved with edge and corner wear.  No major creasing and minor foxing/ringwear. If there’s writing or stains they are barely noticeable.

VG  an average jacket with moderate wear/ marks.  Perhaps some creasing, splitting or staining.  Should still display reasonably well.

VG- below average with more pronounced issues of a VG.

G+ it still holds a record!

G it is disintegrating

A VG+ record will please most collectors, I don’t use this grading lightly as many sellers tend to do.  If a record plays better or worse than visual grade I will indicate as such to the best of my knowledge.  A record is washed if especially dirty.

I do this because I love music.  I’m a collector first and sell basically to manage the size of my collection.  If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason please contact me directly and I will make it right.  Thanks!

UPDATE 1/1/22:

Downgrading visual vinyl grade to VG+.  Has some very light superficial marks mostly in the deadwax that DNAP.  There is some minor notable surface noise on lead ins and on the last two tracks.  Overall play is VG+ to VG++.  Very nice example of this record.
