Vinyl MINT (M)/Perfect: Vinyl and cover are absolutely perfect in every way but is anything ever truly perfect. NEAR MINT (NM)/Excellent: Vinyl ?looks like it just came from a retail store and it was opened for the first time.? Shiny, with no visible defects, there are no writing, stickers or other markings on the label, no ?spindle marks,? no major factory defects. Should play with no surface noise. Cover may have creases, ring wear and seam splits.

VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+)/Great: Vinyl, except for a couple minor things, would be Near Mint, may show some slight signs of wear and handling, including light scuffs or very lite scratches that do not affect the listening experience. May have slight warp that should not affect the sound. May have minor signs of handling. May have some very lite ring wear or discoloration. Cover should have only minor wear. May have some very minor seam wear or a split (less than one inch long) at the bottom. May have some defacing, such as a cut-out marking.

Very Good (VG): Vinyl may have obvious flaws, may lack original gloss, groove wear may be evident on sight, including lite scratches deep enough to feel. May have surface marks and some scratches may be audible, especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and ending BUT the noise will not overpower the music. May have minor writing, tape or a sticker. Cover may have many signs of human handling. Ring wear in the middle or along the edges of the cover where the edge of a record would reside, may be obvious, though not overwhelming. Some more creases may be visible. Seam splitting may be present, though it won't be obvious. May have writing, stamp or price tag.

Good (G): Vinyl should play through without skipping, may have significant surface noise, scratches, and visible groove wear. Should play without skipping, but with noticeable surface noise and "ticks." May have label wear. Cover may have ring wear, writing, seam splits, especially at the bottom or on the spine. Tape, writing, ring wear, or other defects will be present.

POOR (P)/Fair (F)/Not Good: Vinyl: Heavy marks, may be cracked, warped, skip and/or repeat on play. Cover: heavily damaged.
