After collecting for over 50 years...Its time to starting clearing out a number of my recordings. Most of these will be in the 1898 to 1910 period with a few exceptions going up into the 1930s. I've enjoyed these recordings and I hope you will too. These records will be shipped in a new box wrapped with cardboard and bubble wrap to protect them. Tracking info will be provided..........
Zonophone Record Test Pressing from 1907 in fine condition. Stanley and Burr... title of the song or hymn is "Rescue the Perishing" This is a test pressing of 849, issued in 1907.....The singers on this record are baritone melody by Frank C Stanley (William Stanley Grinstead) and lovely tenor harmony by Henry Burr (Harry McClaskey). Grimstead would die of pneumonia in 1910, aged just 41. Burr, who was just 25 years old at the time of this recording would have one of the greatest careers on record. Ending his days on the radio in Chicago. He died in 1941, at the age of 59.
