The Cure Japanese Whispers 1983 1st Pressing Vinyl LP Sire EX/VG.
To honestly and accurately grade record condition I just listened to Japanese Whispers start to finish. Sounds wonderful: no skips, very little background noise, with the vibrancy of vinyl. In addition to assessing vinyl, I leaned back and got lost in the songs, was reminded yet again of how unique The Cure is. Avant-guard experiments and surprises but all so easily accessible. Both challenging and comforting, The Cure stands on a musical island all its own.
Media/Vinyl EX… I just listened to entire disc. Sounds great. No skips, minimal background noise.
Sleeve/Cover VG… I fretted quite a bit over this grade. The cover is clean, no marks, with only slight edge and corner wear. But the two creases I note in the photos forced me from otherwise EX to Very Good. Please see photos.
Inlay/Inner Sleeve… new plastic inner sleeve.
