The Beatles: WHITE ALBUM 4th Stereo Press Crossover Labels. RARITY? Side Open VG.
This is the fourth stereo pressing from October 1970-Spring 1971.
Full laminated gatefold sleeve with no flaps, and with openings at the sides.
Embossed ‘THE BEATLES’ in raised block letters, with a six digit gray number to lower right corner.
There are no photos or poster with this item.
Record 1 has dark green labels, with ‘An EMI Recording’ text on one line.
Record 2 has dark green labels with ‘An EMI Recording’ text on two lines. However, on this copy, side 1 of record 2 has ‘An EMI Recording on just one line, whilst side 2 of record 2 has the above text on two lines.
How common/rare, the above text, with what appears to be a crossover/misprint label, I’ve no idea, but I’ve never seen another.
The publishing year on all sides is printed with a large (P) copyright, and without the KT tax code.

Visually, all vinyl just has light marks/hairlines, and looks lightly played. Equally, the labels are bright and clean, with very minimal spindle ware.
I’d grade the vinyl as VG+.
The sleeve is minimum VG, though with what looks like ‘AM Davidson’ to inside right side in blue pen/ink.
The Number to bottom right corner has suffered from some fading, but looks like 166227 (3rd and 4th number, very faint).
There is some ringing and general ware and tare, but no laminate lifting/peel, nor significant scuffs. The spine is very strong, and easily legible.
I’d describe the sleeve as VG+.
Two non-matching generic white inner sleeves also included.
Overall, I’d grade the item as minimum VG/VG+, though I tend to be quite conservative in my gradings, and maintain a 100% positive feedback rating, largely for vinyl sales. Thus, you can bid with confidence.
Item will be posted via Royal Mail 2nd class signed for, at a cost of £4.45, plus 50p to cover EBay p&p fees.
