Velvet Underground MGM SE4617 Lou Reed MGM. Both sides of record play tested. Side one, all songs have a certain amount of subtle to light surface noise. Song for, payablewise, couple ticks. Side too, song One Fine, song to scratchy light surface noise heard one loud tick almost a skip. But not a skip just allowed tick. Rest of side to no ticks, just some light surface noise here and there. Plays much better than side one. Couple marks on the front cover and back cover. But in great shape. This is a gold mine standard rated vg. VG records have more obvious flaws than their counterparts in better shape. They lack most of the original gloss found on factory-fresh records. Groove wear is evident on sight, as are light scratches deep enough to feel with a fingernail. When played, a VG record has surface noise, and some scratches may be audible, especially in soft passages and during a song’s intro and ending. But the noise will not overpower the music otherwise.
