RARE MT EMBOSSED TAX CODE TO SIDE 2.

STUNNING NEAR MINT AUDIO QUALITY.

STUNNING AUDIO QUALITY. BARELY A CLICK/POP OR CRACKLE, AND ABSOLUTELY NO JUMPS, SKIPS, OR STICKING. EVEN THE INTROS ON EITHER SIDE ARE NEAR SILENT. I’VE GENUINELY HEARD BRAND NEW RECORDS WITH MORE CRACKLE AND SURFACE NOISE THAN ON THIS COPY. SUPERB, STUNNING AUDIO.

This is the first mono pressing, produced in December 1964. Garrod & Lofthouse gatefold inside flipback. Laminated front and back sides. With outline mono to top right front. Black label with yellow logo and silver print. ‘Parlophone Co’ perimeter print, and ‘Sold In U.K.’ Rare MT tax code to side 2 label. 4N & 4N matrix numbers.

Vinyl Appearance.

Retaining a lovely glossy sheen to both sides, with just a small number of marks/hairlines/light scratches, that are really only visible under a strong angled light; with side 1 being even cleaner than side 2.

Labels.

Rare embossed MT tax code to side 2.

There is some light spindle ware, again only visible under strong angled light. Otherwise beautifully clean and bright, and completely graffiti free.

Side 2 likewise, with MT embossed tax code.

Inner Sleeve.

Non original poly lined inner has some corner creasing, and the number 35 in pencil to top left corner of text side. No seam splits.

Sleeve.

Clean and smooth to front and rear. Small tare to top and base of spine, along with some relatively minor age/shelf ware. Strong easily legible spine.

In conclusion, this is a lovely, original 1st press mono, with truly excellent audio, rare embossed MT tax code, giving an overall grading of excellent. Excellent simply because the audio is so good.

However, I tend to be quite conservative in my gradings/descriptions, as being a collector myself, I appreciate that accurate and honest grading is paramount. Thus, I retain a 100% positive feedback rating, so rest assured, you can bid with confidence.
