The Beatles ~ 'The Collection' was my first Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs Box Set purchase. I bought it the year it was introduced and because I had all the Beatles records, it remained unplayed. We had a wonderful little audio/video store (The Stereo Store) that we opened in late 1980 and beside us was The Record Bar, a regional chain of record stores in the Southeast.  It was a great symbiotic relationship that lasted for years... We purchased all our personal and demo vinyl from The Record Bar, including this example.

As I mentioned above, it has never been played; only opened for its serial number and these photos... I own most of the MFSL Beatles records individually, including the definitive UHQR release of Sgt. Pepper's~
Unfortunately, the original cardboard shipping carton for this set is long gone, but the case is in wonderful condition and again, the contents are perfect.
This example is Serial #10,057 and has been displayed in our various Listening Rooms over the years. After almost 40 years of ownership, I'm not sure why I'm willing to part with it? I suppose it's because it deserves to be enjoyed and I'm never going to play any of the records  (again, I have them individually) and with the 60th Anniversary of The Beatles' arrival in the U.S. approaching, I thought it would be a good time...
