Beautiful copy of the 1945 4-disc version of Bing's Merry Christmas 78 album on Decca A-550. One of the very first editions of this Christmas classic, which has remained in print ever since, even to this day. Features the original and by far the best version of White Christmas, as well as some wonderful songs with the Andrews Sisters. Most people have heard the more recent issues on LP and CD, but when you hear the original 78s it is like hearing it for the first time. The sound is just wonderful on this original version of the record, and this copy really brings it out. All four discs are in wonderful condition. They have very little wear, with just a few light surface scuffs that don't affect the play at all. The whole thing plays just beautifully and magically. The cover is even in exceptional condition, remarkably clean, with a bit of edge and corner wear but an absolutely perfect spine with no rips at all. Strong binding and record pockets. This is truly a top original of this rare first version. Hard to beat...
