The Beatles; WITH THE BEATLES, WITH EMITEX (polythene lined). Tested. Audio Excellent. Garrod & Lofthouse flip-back.

PLAY TESTED MARCH 13TH. ABSOLUTELY NO SKIPS, JUMPS OR STICKING. AUDIO EXCELLENT

Complete and original U.K. Album, issued by Parlophone (yellow & black labels) in 1963. (PMC 1296) Mono. ‘Parlo’ Co. Ltd’ perimeter print and ‘Recording First Published’ 1963. Dominion/Belinda publishing credit for money. Housed in a polythene lined Emitex inner. KT tax code to side 2. Matrix numbers XEX 447-7N & 448-7N.

Regarded as the 2nd press, (No ‘Jobete’ credit), though with the correct ‘You Really Got A Hold On Me’ credit to both sleeve and sleeve. Most 2nd pressings have the incorrect spelling to the sleeve. Large Mono to the Garrod & Lofthouse flip-back sleeve. Matrice Numbers 447-7N & 448-7N. Known as Variant B, as ‘I Wanna Be Your Man’, with full credits (side 2) appearing on one line, rather than over 2 lines. KT tax code to side 2

Also housed in the original Polythene lined die-cut inner Emitex ‘protect your records’ inner sleeve.

AUDIO: EXCELLENT.

The heavyweight vinyl has very little crackle/surface noise/static on intros/run-ins, and even less in between or during tracks. The bass is punchy, vocals well defined, and the instrumentation clear. Absolutely no skips, jumps or sticking. Audio grading overall of minimum excellent, and approaching near mint at times. Superb.

VISUAL: VG+/EX?

VG+/close to excellent playing surfaces, with very few marks/hairlines/light scratches, and certainly fewer than you’d expect of a 60yr old record.

SLEEVE: VG+/Close to excellent.

The front laminate retains much of its original lustre, and deep dark colour. It does have some very faint/barely visible ringing, a tiny amount of creasing, and would be graded excellent if not for the small tare to the top right (where the white top panel meets with the black background).

The rear is clean, graffiti free, and with very few marks. There’s no lifting of the Garrod & Lofthouse flip-backs. Track listing shows the ‘You Really GOT A Hold On Me’, with extended gap between GOT and A.

All four corners are strong, as is the pinched spine, with barely any creasing. Very minimal scuffing.

EMITEX POLY-LINED INNER - EXCELLENT/Nr MINT

The original poly-lined inner, is in great shape. No seam splits, graffiti, or tares. There’s barely any creasing, with the vinyl housed inside an audiophile quality anti-static inner, to protect the record.

LABELS: EXCELLENT.

Side 1:

Clean, graffiti free, bright, and very very little spindle ware, which is really only visible under angled light.

Side 2:

As above, perhaps better, with KT embossed tax code.

So in conclusion, this is a second press Mono, of The Beatles second album with truly excellent audio, correct spelling to sleeve and label of ‘You Really Got A Hold’, with the record housed in its original poly-lined Emitex inner, also in excellent condition. Overall grading of excellent.
