IMPORTANT: I purchased this box set around the date of release from Amoeba's San Francisco location. Please read the section below about records purchased at Amoeba stores, and please take note of Pictures 4 and 5, which highlight how Amoeba prevents price tag swapping and shoplifting.

ABOUT AMOEBA MUSIC

I’ve been a satisfied customer of Amoeba Music since they opened their first store in Berkeley, CA in the early 1990s. For many years I visited Amoeba’s San Francisco store every week after they opened their doors, and since my work put me in the Los Angeles area many times a year, I’ve enjoyed many, many visits to that location. I’ve purchased over 1,000 records from Amoeba over the last 30+ years, some of which I intend to sell here on Ebay.

Because Amoeba is a “brick and mortar” store, they need to have security systems in place to prevent theft AND price tag switching. These systems include sealing both the price tags and shoplifting security strips with packing tape.

IMPORTANT: In the past when I’ve resold Amoeba LPs on Ebay, I’ve gotten questions from bidders concerned that the albums might have been resealed, or wondering why there is packing tape over shrink wrap. Therefore, it is important to know that all Amoeba locations use WHITE price tags when an album is sealed and new. Amoeba uses YELLOW price tags for all used albums. Finally, if Amoeba purchases a sealed record from a customer and resells it, Amoeba uses a WHITE price tag with a BLUE line drawn across the top. BTW, you do not have to take my word for this: I encourage you to call one of the Amoeba stores and I’m confident they will confirm this fact.

Furthermore, the LPs I’m selling on Ebay were all purchased by me personally. I have no time, interest, ability, or inclination to rip people off…the albums I sell are exactly as described. If you have ANY doubts or concerns about this, please DO NOT bid on my records.

Finally, if you have not looked at Amoeba.com, I HIGHLY recommend you check them out!

ABOUT SHIPPING AND HANDLING: Please note there is a $5 fee included in Ebay's estimate of Media Mail shipping costs. I believe the best way to way to ship an LP includes a 13"x14"x3" "pizza" style box, 12"x12" cardboard flats, outer shopping bag, and bubble wrap. The shipping boxes alone cost me over $3 each, and the average total cost of shipping materials is around $4.72, so this is NOT a money-maker for me. However, it does ensure, consistently, that these high value LPs arrive safely. Please check my feedback and I think you'll see that buyers appreciate the care with which these precious artifacts are handled.
COMBINED SHIPPING: I am more than happy to combine shipping. Ebay buyers will only pay the actual postage costs. If I am shipping two LPs together, I will also refund one of the $5 handling fees. If I am shipping three LPs together, I'll waive all the handling fees, so the buyer pays for POSTAGE only on purchases of three or more LPs.

About Me: I'm a long time Ebay buyer intent on selling a significant portion of my LP collection over the next year or two (or three!). I believe in the auction process, so I'm NOT going to list records at absurdly high prices, and I look forward to getting rare, out of print records into the hands of music lovers, record collectors and audiophiles (I consider myself all of the above). All LPS stored in a smoke-free, climate controlled environment.

Please check my feedback and BID WITH CONFIDENCE. Also, please take a look at other items I'm listing (new items will be listed on Sunday and Wednesday nights), and good luck!

PayPal Payments Only. Payment required within 3 days after the end of auction. All records will ship USPS Media Mail.
