Condition Report & Background info. ## This album is just so rare... when this one leaves me, for its new home, I won't be surprised if my mood changes a little for the worse that evening. Howlin' Wolf's songs have been interpreted by countless famous rock bands, including "Little Red Rooster", "Back Door Man", "Killing Floor", & "Spoonful". Howlin Wolf, with his Memphis and Chicago recordings, his status and influence, surely is one of the vital links between Blues and Rock. Discogs have 2 copies available , one is in VG Condition & it costs $372. The other one is in VG+/VG+ condition & its price is $489.90 ....... 105 Discogs Members own a copy, whilst 417 would love to own a copy!!
The Vinyl is described conservatively as Very Good Plus & has been fully play-tested. The sound was great with no skips or stops. The background noise is well under what you might be expecting for a vinyl with 57 years of vintage. Side one plays fantastically well as does Side 2. Tracks 2.1 & 2.2 play with a tiny bit more background but this is probably because they both have rather quiet intros & or middle eights. There are a reasonable number of fine hairlines & sleeve marks to both sides of the record, as well as visible spindle marks to both labels. The labels have faded a little over the years but really who cares! ;)
The Cover is conservatively graded as VG+, but I doubt any other vinyl sellers out there are being anywhere near as conservative. (Note to self... Stop Moaning!) ;) The Cover is made from that lovely thick USA card. There is some visible edge/spine & corner-wear. There are some fine cracks to spine & edges with associated wrinkles. There is visible ring-wear to front & verso. There are some colour losses to edges & spine. There are some areas of foxing to verso. No seam splits of any kind. A few stains on both sides of the cover, as well as some small patches of colour-loss/paper-loss as well as some staining & fading to verso.
