The x2 LP's are VG+. They have some hairlines/light marks, light scratches, however, none cause a skip or jump on playback, and the audio remains minimum VG+/VG++ throughout. Clean labels and spindle holes, an excellent low numbered laminated gatefold sleeve, but most importantly, all x4 sides have the misprint error and do not state EMI, whilst 3 sides have a 1 Mother stamp. The vinyls have a decent sheen, and sit flat with no warping.

AUDIO. VG++

Light surface noise/static on intros to all 4 sides. Intermittent light static, but nothing that overwhelms playback.

SLEEVE. EXCELLENT. 0055335

The outer gatefold cover is excellent, perhaps better, especially considering its age! No rips or tears, very little creasing/ringing, with all text to the spine and panels, complete and legible. The spine is super strong, with next to no ware, and is the all important TOP LOADER and shows a low value number clearly on the front cover.

PHOTOS VG+

The x4 band member photos are all there and in VG+ condition! Just a small pin hole to top rims, and a very small number of light marks, all confined to the white rims.

These are the real ring. 1968 originals, as exemplified by the white rimming all of the same width, along with the thicker gloss card, and colour depth.

POSTER: EXCELLENT

The larger poster is EXCELLENT, showing no pin holes and just minimal ware. Again, a 1968 original, as exemplified by the ‘brighter’ red lipstick, and the Northern Songs credit.

INNERS. VG/VG+

The much sought after ‘rough textured inside’ inners, are minimum VG. Some minor rips and tares, largely confined to the top opening. Some minor creasing evident, but given how difficult they’re now becoming to find, this pair are very acceptable indeed. Again, these are 1968 originals, exemplified by the rougher inside texture.

OVERALL A SUPERB AND SOUGHT AFTER PIECE TO ADD TO YOUR MUSICAL COLLECTION, AND THOUGH NOT MINT, THE VINYL PLAYS WITHOUT SKIPS AND JUMPS, IS A FIRST PRESS, COMES COMPLETE WITH PHOTOS AND POSTER, HAS NO EMI TO ALL 4 SIDES, WITH A TRULY EXCELLENT LOW NUMBERED TOP OPENING SLEEVE. A BETTER OVERALL COPY WOULD PROBABLY COST THOUSANDS OF £’s.
