FULLY PLAY TESTED. ABSOLUTELY NO SKIPS, JUMPS OR STICKING. VG+ AUDIO.

THE BEATLES: Revolver Vinyl LP 1966 MONO 1966. XEX 605-2 & 606-3. Original White ‘Patents Applied For’/Made In Great Britain Inner. Audio is minimum VG+, as is the inner, whilst the G&L flip-back sleeve is VG.

AUDIO: VG+

The audio is minimum VG+, and approaching excellent for the most part. Some static/crackle and surface noise intermittently, though mostly confined to the run-ins on either side, and between songs. Nothing to spoil the audio experience of what many critics consider to be one of the greatest albums ever made.

VINYL APPEARANCE: VG+

The vinyl has some light surface marks/hairlines/scratches, as you’d expect from a near 60yr old record of this grading, but retains a deep sheen, with certainly no feelable marks, or anything that interferes with playback.

The vinyl has a black label with yellow Parlophone logo and silver print. ‘Gramo Co Ltd’ perimeter print, and ‘Sold In U.K.’ text. This pressing is housed in the original plain white inner, in VG+condition. KT tax code embossed to side 2, with XEX 605-2 & XEX 606-3 matrix numbers, indicative of the 2nd mono press. It has the incorrect ‘Dr. Robert’ text to side 2, and ‘Dr. Robert’ to the sleeve, with sans serif Arial typeset, with each song title starting on a new line, with each song title followed by song credits, then lead vocalist.

LABELS. VG+/ EXCELLENT.

Side 1. VG+

Sans-Serif Arial font (see above).

Clean, bright and graffiti free, with just minor spindle ware; really only seen under angled light. VG+

Side 2. VG+/Excellent.

As above, but cleaner, with a little less ware Excellent.

KT embossed tax code.

The front side has some creasing, most noticeable near the spine, along with corner bumps/scuffing.

The spine has some light creasing, but is relatively strong and easily legible. VG+

The rear panel is VG, with some creasing and ringing. There are marks/scuffing elsewhere. The flip-backs are strong, but again with some creasing. Some edgeware. (See photos).

ORIGINAL PATENT APPLIED FOR INNER. VG+/Ex

Early editions of this album, were housed either in an EMI advertising inner, or plain white ‘Made In Great Britain’ ‘Patents Applied For’. This is the latter, and other than some yellowing due to age, is in VG+/Excellent condition. There are no rips/tares, just a little creasing/ringing.

So in conclusion, this is a 2nd Mono press of ‘Revolver’, in its original inner, with VG+audio, in a G&L sleeve, that’s VG. Has the incorrect ‘Dr. Robert’ to label and sleeve. An essential edition to any serious Beatle collection.
