A most successful live recording from Carnegie Hall before it was modified. Your mind's eye can just follow Belafonte as he jumps around the stage. The smallish band that accompanies him is positioned rock-solid in the back and center. Here the audience "noise" is almost as interesting and useful for audio demonstration as the performance. Great work done by the eminent RCA engineer Bob Simpson. Very popular issue indeed, but getting scarce quickly, especially in this kind of shape. Why? Every new collector wants a copy once he/she hears it!
