1959’s animated feature, “1001 Arabian Nights,” was a delightful treat for the whole family created by the cartoon geniuses at UPA, who brought to life, among others, the ever clumsy “Mr. Magoo,” which featured the unforgettable voice talent of the late Jim Backus (perhaps best known now for his role on the 60’s TV series, “Gilligan’s Island”). The film offered a now politically incorrect version of the Aladdin story with Backus voicing the boy’s “Uncle Abdul Azziz Magoo.” Here we have the soundtrack album on the Colpix label in Very Good (VG) condition signed by Backus at a book signing in Los Angeles in 1988 celebrating the publication of his autobiography, “Forgive Us Our Transgressions.” The item comes with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA).
