This is the rare original RVG-stamped deep groove pressing of Miles Davis “And the Modern Jazz Giants” on the West 50th St. labels of Prestige PRES 16-3. The flat rim playing surface is in virtually new condition, with a nice luster; possibly unused. The laminated cover is in extraordinary condition – clean throughout – with three sharp corners and unworn seams; 1/8” wear on the bottom seam, at the opening; normal age toning on the back slick. This is one of only six records that Prestige issued at a 16 2/3 rpm playing speed. Original glassine inner sleeve is included. Personnel include Sonny Rollins, Milt Jackson, Thelonious Monk, and Kenny Clarke. $300.00
