RARE ORIGINAL DIE-CUT CIRCULAR OPENING APPLE BLACK INNER

This first edition, first pressing Abbey Road, features the iconic 'misaligned Apple’ sleeve, with cigarette and drain cover, along with ‘No Her Majesty’ in the track listing, an original die-cut black inner, vinyl with 749-2 & 750-1 matrix, with a record grading of minimum excellent plus (perhaps mint minus on side 2), and has the label mis-print, omitting Her Majesty

VINYL: EXCELLENT PLUS. SIDE 2 MINT MINUS.

The vinyl is superb. Some barely visible very light hairlines/wispy lines/and light handling marks, but in minimum excellent plus condition. I can only see one obviously visible light mark on side 1 (see photos). Side 2 is perhaps mint minus, with barely a blemish. Clean, with a lovely deep sheen both sides. Stunning.

LABELS: EXCELLENT PLUS/PERHAPS MINT MINUS.

Dark green label, with the first label variant, with “An EMI Recording” text on two lines and small 33 1/3 text moved to the left. The publishing year is printed with small copyright symbol (p). The labels are quite dark.

Clean, bright, graffiti free, and with very little spindle ware, both labels are in superb condition, perhaps mint minus. And of course, side 2 label omits ‘Her Majesty’.

FULLY LAMINATED ‘MISALIGNED APPLE’ SLEEVE.

EXCELLENT.

The original laminated cover, without flaps, was quickly withdrawn due to the green Apple logo out of alignment with the text, and shifted to the left. It also came with a green tint, and a visible drain cover to the bottom rim of the front panel.

Though there’s a small creases to bottom left front panel, and a little rubbing/scuffing/small split to spine, the general condition is excellent.

Clean, bright, graffiti free panels, with the rear panel being of particular high quality.

Very mild, barely visible corner bumps, with very little creasing elsewhere.

ORIGINAL DIE-CUT INNER. EXCELLENT

The increasingly hard to find black Apple inner, is one of the best I’ve seen. No rips or seam splits to outer edges, with just very little feathering. A couple of very small tares to the ‘window’ and light creasing, but I’ve rarely seen any in better condition. They are very fragile, and to find one in this condition, is a rare find indeed.

In conclusion, you’re bidding on a first press, first edition copy, of the seminal ‘Abbey Road’ album.

Misaligned Apple, no Her Majesty, along with an original die-cut inner, housing vinyl in excellent plus condition.
