Recorded at Jaycina Studios in New York City, New York on January 7, 1967, and at Columbia Records Studio in Los Angeles, California in October 1966.

Publishing demo pressed in an edition of 100 and given to A&R representatives and other potential clients. Some of Browne's songs ended up on releases by Nico, The Hour Glass, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Tom Rush & Johnny Darrell while Noonan's songs (some written with Browne) were eventually covered by The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Clear Light & The Other Side.

Copies were provided by Elektra with a stickered cover.
