An exclusive 45th anniversary double vinyl release of Paste Magazine’s #1 synth-pop album of all time No. 1 In Heaven by Sparks, and the Sparks-composed-and-produced lost gem Is There More To Life Than Dancing? by Noel. Released in 1979, the Giorgio Moroder-produced No. 1 In Heaven became the blueprint album for all electronic music to come. The same year, Ron and Russell Mael wrote, produced, and recorded the album Is There More To Life Than Dancing? for LA-based singer Noel. Together these albums showcase the Maels’ electronic adventurousness and trailblazing foresight into the next decade.  Bands such as Joy Division, Duran Duran, Vince Clarke (Depeche Mode, Yazoo, Erasure), etc. have cited No. 1 In Heaven as influential to their own work. Pressed on one white and one green coloured record. Only 1500 copies are available. An excellent addition to any Sparks collection.

Grading is by visual inspection only. I never rate anything as mint, that is just the way I look at things as there might be a slight imperfection I cannot see. Near mint is the highest I grade. I do my best to package everything as best I can. Unfortunately small things may happen in shipping like minor bumps to the sleeve or seam splits. Inner sleeve seam splits are not considered defective unfortunately. That is not covered by any insurance through the shipping company. If you would like the record taken out of the sleeve, please let me know and I will ship it that way for you. If on the rare time the item arrives broken, that is covered. Please send pictures if that has happened.
