Recorded over 100 years ago in all of their low fidelity glory, readings by Aleister Crowley himself.

The voice is authentic; the sounds are crudely recorded and primitive. The result is like traveling back in time and space into a long lost world.

It is important to note that the audio fidelity of this album is not comparable to modern recordings. Crowley recorded this material on wax cylinders, which were the precursor to vinyl records. You will hear surface noise and an occasional skip. This is an unavoidable consequence of the recording and storage of these very old and fragile cylinders. The fact that they even survived at all is perhaps miraculous.

Having said that, all of the pieces are very listenable and eerie in their effect. Included are 14 original pieces read by Aleister Crowley, plus 4 remixes of Crowley's voice created by Malcolm Tent.
