Vultures 1 is the first collaborative studio album by the American rapper Kanye West and singer Ty Dolla Sign, who are collectively billed as ¥$. It was released independently through West's YZY brand on February 10, 2024, coinciding with the 20th anniversary of West's debut studio album, The College Dropout.
Five days after its release, the business-to-business music distributor FUGA attempted removal from streaming services due to publishing having been done using their platform's automated processes after explicitly declining it, but it was re-distributed the same day by Label Engine.
It features guest appearances from Kanye's daughter North West, Freddie Gibbs, YG, Quavo, Playboi Carti, Travis Scott, Bump J, Lil Durk, Rich the Kid, and Chris Brown, among others; most of whom are uncredited. Production was primarily handled by West himself, alongside Digital Nas, JPEGMafia, Chrishan, 88-Keys, Wheezy, Ojivolta, DJ Camper, Timbaland, No I.D., Wax Motif, and others.
The title track was issued as the lead single in November 2023, with a music video later accompanying a promotional version of the song by Havoc in February 2024. Also in February, "Talking / Once Again" and "Carnival" were released as singles.
Vultures 1 marked West's 11th consecutive number-one debut on the US Billboard 200, breaking his tie with Eminem. It further topped the charts in 16 regions, including Australia, Canada, Israel, and Germany, where it became West's first number-one album. All 16 album tracks debuted on the Billboard Hot 100, bringing West to 157 career entries. The sequel albums, Vultures 2 and Vultures 3, are set to be released on March 8 and April 5, 2024, respectively.
