It's honestly a classic in a way that "classic rock" albums almost never are--if you haven't heard it, and have just assumed that it's a normal album of old famous Who stuff, then do read on.
Almost before the concept of "selling out" and corporate rock was even thought of, the Who were already making fun of it. This whole album is conceived as if the band has severely sold out and brought paid sponsor content into their actual music. In between the songs are radio jungles and fake ads. And yes, there are also plenty of classic great songs, like "I Can See for Miles"...but you also get full production numbers that turn out to be overt deodorant ads. It's astounding and funny and there's nothing like it as a concept album, not even from Frank Zappa.
And for once the first pressing from 1967 doesn't cost $185...that's because there are lots of copies out there. So you can get this crazy artifact for less than the price of a present-day digital remastering with no timbre and no bass. The old record mastering engineers knew what they were doing, and these things sound amazing on the gear of today.
