UK very 1st pressing. 'GRAMOPHONE CO. LTD' label text. 'A-1U & B-1U' matrices. Fully textured 'Garrod & Lofthouse' gatefold sleeve. This cover also has an original 'FACTORY SAMPLE NOT FOR SALE' sticker attached to back, top right corner. A nice very decent playing copy too.
The vinyl has a nice sheen. There are just a few fine light hairlines, & just a couple of light top surface scuffs. There are no nasty deep surface marks or scratches, & so no overly loud repeated clicks or pops. This albums plays mostly really excellent throughout. There is very little crackle & pop. A little background crackle during the intro to 'One Of These Days', & just the odd short burst of light crackle here & there, really not much at all, & there is only the odd sporadic tic & pop to be heard. In no way overplayed, & so still sounds great to me. The audio / sound quality is still excellent. A decent very first pressing, that plays with no major defects at all.
The Harvest labels are in good condition. There are a few slightly darker areas, mainly on the 'Echoes' side. Really not too sure what has caused this, as the labels were already like this when I bought the album.
The fully textured 'Garrod & Lofthouse' gatefold cover is in really decent shape. Clean inside, clean front & back. Very little wear at all, a very small thin slither on the back top edge, barely anything else besides. The spine is really excellent, with all text bold & clear & easy to read. As mentioned, there is an original 'FACTORY SAMPLE NOT FOR SALE' sticker attached near the back top right corner. This is just a excellent condition, very nice solid fully textured gatefold. Many of these textured sleeves turn up in far worse condition than this.
The original Harvest advertising inner sleeve is included, although, it's a little creased & discoloured due to age, & like many, the original glue has perished over time, & so the polyethene has come away from the inside of the sleeve. And so the vinyl has been placed inside a separate EMI paper inner sleeve. The white paper inner is excellent & clean, with no rips or seam splits.
I pack my records very well. I always remove the inner sleeve & vinyl from the outer card cover, this to avoid seam damage during transit. I usually post next day after payment is received.
