This is the original deep groove RVG-stamped “P”-pressing on Dizzy Reece “Star Bright” on the West 63rd labels of Blue Note BLP 4023. The playing surface appears to be in excellent condition with normal storage splotching; however, there are persistent non-repetitive tics most prominently on the opening tracks of each side. Bidders beware, in spite of its appearance this does not have the sound quality to be expected from a Blue Note record. The laminated New York 23 cover with serif font is in exceptional condition – bright, clean, and immaculate throughout with just ½” wear and bump on the top seam, at the opening. Personnel include Hank Mobley, Wynton Kelly, Paul Chambers, and Art Taylor. $200.00.
