This is the original RVG-stamped deep groove pressing of Ray Draper “With John Coltrane” on New Jazz NJLP 8228. The playing surface looks to be in near-new condition, with a high luster; perhaps played once; however, Side I has a small scuff near the beginning of the first track and what appears to be a pressing defect on the middle of the second track that makes four tics; another pressing defect at the center of the first track on Side 2 makes 10-12 tics. The laminated cover is bright and clean throughout; the opening corners have ¼” wear at the top and 1/8” wear at the bottom. Personnel include Gil Coggins, Spanky DeBrest, and Larry Ritchie. $150.00.
