John Coltrane COLTRANE - THE ELECTRIC RECORDING COMPANY limited edition, #047 of 300 issued worldwide! Absolutely stunning edition from the most exclusive reissue company in the world. There are numerous reasons why these LPs are so valuable and sought after, and it is definitely worth your time to have a look at ERC's web site (https://electricrecordingco.com/about/uk): Original master tapes, all analogue, tube based cutting, meticulous recreation (to the Nth degree!) of original issue LP cover art and sleeves, and pressed in such limited numbers that each and every LP in the series is the most accurate transcription on vinyl of the original master tape.
CONDITION: The heavy plastic outer cover that ERC uses for all its albums is bending/creasing along the bottom. It's only gravity, not trauma, and can be readily flattened out.
If you're looking at this auction you are probably already aware of ERC, and you also may do some additional research here on Ebay or perhaps Discogs. What you'll see, of course, are prices that prove how HIGHLY coveted these records are, and for good reason: ERC's philosophy is quite different than the other reissue labels. For most folks, these LPs are budget busters. I get it. I've been fortunate enough to purchase a number of ERC titles, many of which I've listened to (repeatedly!), and many of which (much like the thousands of other sealed LPs I own) I purchased to listen to but just never got around to (there are only so many hours in the day!), AND I have a wife and kids who do NOT want to deal with my crazy collection after I kick the bucket. Hence my ongoing efforts to dispose of my collection in an orderly fashion here on Ebay.
As with EVERY record I sell here, I am delighted to give folks a chance at obtaining out of print records at whatever price the marketplace says those records are worth, on any given day. NO reserves. Opening bids typically MUCH lower than the probable selling price (I sure hope so, anyway!)
I think it's more fair and more fun for everyone, and if you check my feedback, I think you'll see many comments supporting these facts: the buyer will get EXACTLY what's advertised, laboriously packed to ensure these precious "artyfacts" are not damaged in transit, and shipped within one business day from date of payment. I would sell more records every week if I could, but every record I sell (whether for $20 or $200) is given the same level of care that both the buyer AND the LP deserves, and I will not compromise when it comes to my sales process.
This is truly your best chance to get some of the most collectible LPs in the world at a fair market price! PLEASE CHECK BACK FOR MORE ERC TITLES TO COME!
ABOUT SHIPPING AND HANDLING: Please note there is a $3 fee included in Ebay's estimate of Media Mail shipping costs. I believe the best way to way to ship an LP includes a 13"x14"x3" "pizza" style box, 12"x12" cardboard flats, outer shopping bag, and bubble wrap. The shipping boxes alone cost me over $3 each, and the average total cost of shipping materials is around $4.72, so this is NOT a money-maker for me. However, it does ensure, consistently, that these high value LPs arrive safely. Please check my feedback and I think you'll see that buyers appreciate the care with which these precious artifacts are handled.
COMBINED SHIPPING: I am more than happy to combine shipping. Ebay buyers pay the actual postage costs. If a single LP is purchased, the buyer pays actual postage and $3 for shipping materials. If two LPs are purchased, the buyer pays actual postage and $3 for shipping materials. If three or more LPs are purchased, the buyer pays actual postage and $0 for shipping materials (I will absorb the cost of materials). As the final amount can only be calculated after auctions have ended, I will issue the appropriate refund on the day the LPs are shipped.
About Me: I'm a long time Ebay buyer intent on selling a significant portion of my LP collection over the next year or two (or three!). I believe in the auction process, so I'm NOT going to list records at absurdly high prices, and I look forward to getting rare, out of print records into the hands of music lovers, record collectors and audiophiles (I consider myself all of the above). All LPS stored in a smoke-free, climate controlled environment.
Please check my feedback and BID WITH CONFIDENCE. Also, please take a look at other items I'm listing (new items will be listed on Sunday and Wednesday nights), and good luck!
PayPal Payments Only. Payment required within 3 days after the end of auction. All records will ship USPS Media Mail.
